Polyolefin’s sold by QUIMTEC LP are the most common plastic resins for Film Extrusion, Blow Molding and Injection Molding Processes.

They are polymerized plastic resins from petroleum gases. Principal gases are ethylene, basic for polyethylene (PE) and a combination of ethylene and propylene, as the major ingredient of copolymer polypropylene.

Polyolefin’s are classified as thermoplastics, which means that they can be melted, solidified and melted again.

This contrasts with thermoset resins which, once molded, cannot be processed again.

Most polyolefin resins for film extrusion used are generally in pellet form about 1/8 inch long and 1/8 inch in diameter. Usually they are somewhat translucent and white in color
